Minneapolis airport parking questions, from request to reserved space

Your flight details and boarding pass both print it. It matters because the terminals sit on different sides of the field: Terminal 1 is reached from MN 5 by Glumack Drive, Terminal 2 from I-494 at 34th Avenue South. When you are unsure, we ask you to check before we reserve, because the answer can change which lot suits your drive.

It is the extra driving a lot adds compared with going straight to your terminal: minutes from your area to the lot, plus shuttle road to the terminal, minus the direct drive. The figures were measured on 25 September 2026 on an empty road and leave out the wait for the shuttle. From Roseville, Highland Park adds 2 minutes for either terminal.

Space with a roof means the Bloomington garage, from $22 a day, or the Highland Park ramp, from $20 a day, where the three lower levels are roofed but the lot keeps the choice of level. Yes. Hotels in Bloomington and South St. Paul sell parking on its own, from $13 a day, with their own shuttle every 20 to 60 minutes and a gap in the small hours. A few go to Terminal 1 only, and the free light rail carries you on to Terminal 2. Some ask for a minimum stay. More on the hotel lots.

Highland Park keeps an open lot for oversized vehicles, from $46 a day. In Eagan, a longer vehicle can use several spaces with notice, at an extra charge the lot decides. For charging an electric car, a lift-equipped shuttle or a trailer, write it in the note on the form. We ask the lot before reserving, and it stays open until the lot says yes.

You pay the lot, at the lot or in whatever way the lot asks. Nothing changes hands on this website: we take no card details, no deposit and no fee from you. The lot companies pay the office for each reservation we send them, which is why your quote is free and leaves you under no obligation.

Each starting figure is set to take in the fees a lot requires, and on the callback we name every fee the lot adds and give the full total before sales tax. Minnesota sales tax is added by the lot on the total, and the callback names any fee the lot charges before you say yes. Before anything is reserved, we give you the exact total for your dates.

The lot adds Minnesota sales tax on parking to the total, at the rate of the city where that lot stands, so two lots with the same daily rate in Bloomington and Saint Paul can end slightly apart. We mention it when we call back with your total, and the tax at the lot comes as no surprise.

Each lot counts its days by its own rule, and that rule is one of the things that moves a total. On the callback we read your lot's rule out as the lot states it, next to your drop-off and pick-up times, so you can see whether an evening landing adds a day before you say yes.

The printed figures are where rates begin. Your total moves with the number of days, the kind of space, which lot has room, and how that lot counts a day; then the lot adds Minnesota sales tax. For that reason we quote the exact total for your own dates before anything is reserved, and the quote binds you to nothing.

In the ramps by each terminal rather than at the departures curb. At Terminal 2 that is the Ground Transport Center at ground level of the Purple Ramp; at Terminal 1 the pickup is inside the ramps beside the terminal. The lot's instructions name the exact door, and we read them out when we call back. See both terminals and their shuttle stops.

At most lots you keep your key and carry it onto the shuttle. A lot may ask for keys during its busy weeks, and its instructions say so when that applies. We pass those instructions along on the callback, so the matter is settled before the morning you drive out.

The two Bloomington lots and the Eagan lot run shuttles through the night. At Highland Park, late runs and Terminal 2 runs come on call: you phone the lot from the pickup area. Hotel shuttles leave a gap in the small hours. If you come back after the planned date, the lot charges the extra days at its daily rate under its rules.

Phone during a window, or send the form with the word change or cancel and the name on the reservation. We hand it to the lot in the next window, and the office charges nothing for either. Spring break, from March into early April, with Fridays and Sundays the heaviest.
