Days multiplied by one lot's daily rate

A total starts with two numbers. One is how many days the car stays parked; the other is the daily rate of the lot that has room for you, for the kind of space you asked about. Multiply them and you have most of the answer. What finishes it is the lot's own way of counting a day. Lots do not all count alike, so the same dates can add up to a different number of days at two lots.

That is why the request form asks for your drop-off and pick-up times as well as the dates. When we call or text back in a phone window, we say how that lot counts, how many days your stay comes to under its rule, the daily rate, and the total for your dates. You hear all four before anything is reserved, and a no from you simply closes the request.

Fees taken in, and the tax

Each daily figure on this site is set to take in the fees a lot requires, and on the callback we name every fee the lot adds, so the total you agree to is the whole charge before sales tax. Open-air space starts from $15 a day in Eagan, from $17 a day in Bloomington and from $18 a day in Highland Park. Space under a roof starts from $20 a day in the Highland Park ramp and from $22 a day in the Bloomington garage. Oversized vehicles start from $46 a day on the Highland Park open lot, and a hotel lot with its own shuttle starts from $13 a day.

One amount is added after that: Minnesota sales tax on parking. The lot adds it to your total at the rate of the city it stands in, such as Bloomington, Saint Paul or Eagan, so the tax follows the lot you end up in rather than the place you drive from.

Who pays whom, and when

You pay the lot, and only the lot. It takes payment at the lot or in the way it asks, and its rules say whether any amount is taken ahead of your stay. This website asks for no card number and holds no deposit. The office charges you nothing at any step: not for the request, not for the free quote, not for reserving the space.

Money reaches the office from the other direction. The lot companies pay us for each reservation we send them. Because you owe us nothing, a change or a cancellation costs you nothing from our side; the lot's own rules on deadlines, read out before you say yes, decide anything more. Busy weeks when space runs short

A handful of weeks each year fill the lots near the airport well ahead, and in those stretches some lots take cars only with a reservation made ahead. These are the stretches to watch on the calendar when you fly out of MSP:

• Spring break, March into early April, heaviest on Fridays and Sundays
• MEA weekend, when schools close on 15 and 16 October 2026
• Thanksgiving week
• The days around Christmas and New Year
• July, the month with the most departures
